🔴At Ballymahon Vocational School, we are proud to be part of Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB). At the heart of our school is a simple but important belief, reflected in our school motto: “Where the Individual Matters.”
🔴Our school is a welcoming, inclusive and supportive community where every student is valued as an individual. We recognise that each young person brings their own talents, abilities, interests and aspirations to our school, and we strive to provide an environment in which every student can learn, develop and reach their potential.
🔴As an LWETB school, we are proud to live out the ETB Core Values of Excellence in Education, Care, Equality, Community and Respect. These values are not simply words; they are reflected in the everyday life of our school, in our classrooms, in our relationships and in the way we support and encourage one another.
🔴We place great value on the strong community of learning that exists between our students and teachers. Positive relationships are central to education at Ballymahon Vocational School. Our teachers work closely with students, encouraging them to be curious, confident and engaged in their learning, while providing the guidance and support they need along the way.
🔴We believe that education is about much more than academic achievement. It is about helping young people grow in confidence, discover their strengths, develop respect for themselves and others, and become active and responsible members of their community.
🔴Ballymahon Vocational School is a place of learning, friendship, opportunity and belonging — a school where people know and support one another and, above all, ‘WHERE THE INDIVIDUAL MATTERS’.
